How to Create a Professional Solar Quotation for Your Client in 10 Minutes

Most solar installers in the Philippines still prepare quotations manually — an Excel sheet, a printed BOM, or worse, a handwritten estimate. The problem? It looks unprofessional, takes hours, and makes price comparisons easy for clients to shop around with.

Here's how to do it properly — with a fully itemized, branded proposal that builds trust and closes deals faster.

Step 1 — Log In to Your Installer Dashboard

Sign in at solarenergyph.shop as an installer, go to the Installer Dashboard, and click the Quotation tab.

Step 2 — Fill in Client Information

The quotation starts with a client information section:

  • Client Name — used on the proposal cover and all documents

  • Contact Number — for your reference

  • Property Address — appears on the proposal; important for site-specific details

  • Quote Date — auto-fills today's date; can be changed

  • Reference / Invoice No. — e.g., INV-2026-001; helps you track quotes per client

  • Prepared By — your name or company name, pulled from your profile

  • Via / Referred By — track whether the client came via Walk-in, Referral, Facebook, or SolarEnergyPH lead

Step 3 — Configure the System

Select the system components exactly as discussed with your client:

  • System type: Hybrid or Grid-Tied

  • System size: 1 kW to 16 kW

  • Solar panel brand and model

  • Inverter brand and model

  • Battery (if hybrid)

  • Include installation or equipment-only quote

Step 4 — Review the Auto-Generated BOM

The quotation tool automatically builds a full Bill of Materials including:

  • Panel line item — brand, model, wattage, quantity, unit price, subtotal

  • Inverter line item — brand, model, rated kW, price

  • Battery (if applicable)

  • Mounting system, DC/AC wiring, protection devices

  • Labor and installation

  • Grand total investment

Every price uses current Philippine market rates — no more outdated spreadsheets.

Step 5 — Generate and Share the Proposal

Click Generate Proposal. The system creates a professional PDF document with:

  • Your company logo and branding (from your Profile)

  • Client name, address, and quote reference number

  • Full itemized BOM with specifications and pricing

  • System highlights: total kWp, monthly savings, payback period

  • Monthly production chart

  • 25-year savings summary

Share it via email, Viber, or print it on-site. Clients who receive a professional branded proposal close at 2-3x the rate of those who receive a text message quote.

Step 6 — Save the Quotation

Click Save Quotation. It appears in your Saved Quotations tab, where you can reload it, copy it for a similar client, or update it if prices change. Never lose a quote again.
